Such apprentices <br />shall be properly indentured as called for by law and shall be <br />paid not less than the standard wage paid to apprentices under <br />the regulations of the trade at which they are employed, or in <br />the event the same are higher, not less than the wage rates <br />hereinabove set forth for such apprentices. An apprentice shall <br />be employed only at the work of the trade to which he is <br />indentured. Anything hereinabove to the contrary notwithstand- <br />ing, the initial wage to be paid an apprentice shall be not <br />less than twenty-five percent (25~) of the journeymenls wage <br />being paid and shall be increased each six months in an amount <br />not less than fifteen per cent (15~). <br /> <br /> Anything to the contrary in the above wage scale <br />notwithstanding, the contractor and all sub-contractors under <br />him shall pay all their laborers, workmen, mechanics, and <br />employees on said work a salary or wage at least equal to the <br />prevailing salary or wage for the same qualSty of service <br />rendered to private persons, firms or corporations under <br />similar employment in the County of Alameda. <br /> <br /> The Der diem wage rate is the hourly rate herein- <br />above established multiplied by the number of hours hereinaboYe <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
