CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 888 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE REZONING OF APPROXIMATELY <br /> 1.75 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED EAST OF HOPYARD ROAD AND <br /> APPROXIMATELY 700 FEET SOUTH OF 1-580 FROM THE "C-F" <br /> (COMMERCIAL FREEWAY) DISTRICT TO THE "PUD" (COMMERCIAL) <br /> DISTRICT AND APPROVING THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR AN <br /> APPROXIMATELY 10,000 SQ. FT. RETAIL BUILDING (PUD-79-3) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, W. R. Grace Development Corporation applied for rezoning <br /> approximately 1.75 acres located east of Hopyard Road <br /> approximately 700 feet south of 1-580 from the "C-F" <br /> (Commercial Freeway) District to the "PUD" (Commercial) <br /> District and for development plan approval for <br /> construction of an approximately 10,000 sq. ft. retail <br /> building on the property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative <br /> declaration was adopted by Council on May 22, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the development plan and <br /> rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on May 22, 1985; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this development plan and <br /> rezoning is consistent with the General Plan policies of <br /> the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the rezoning of an approximately 1.75 acres <br /> located east of Hopyard Road approximately 700 feet <br /> south of 1-580 from the "C-F" (Commercial Freeway) <br /> District to the "PUD" (Commercial) District. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton dated <br /> April 18, 1960, on file with the City Clerk, designating <br /> and dividing the City into zoning districts is hereby <br /> amended by Zoning Unit Map #184, attached hereto as <br /> Exhibit "A" dated May 25, 1979, and incorporated herein <br /> by reference. <br /> <br />Section 3: Approves the development plan for construction of an <br /> approximately 10,000 sq. ft. retail building on the <br /> above property, subject to the conditions on Exhibit "B" <br /> attached hereto and by this reference incorporated <br /> herein. <br /> <br /> <br />
