Funds are not available from the Traffic Calming Program to fund this project
at this time. If City Council approves the Black Avenue Traffic Calming Plan, staff will
review the Capital Improvement Program to identify possible funding sources for this
project, and will provide City Council with a recommended funding source with the Mid-
Term Budget Adjustment process at the end of fiscal year 2013/14 FY. At that time if
Council approves the funding for this project, staff can commence the planning to
complete this project.
The traffic calming devices that will be installed on Black Avenue will require minimal
maintenance. The maintenance cost will be paid through the Street Division's Road
Maintenance Program and the City's Traffic Signal Maintenance Program.
