THE CITY OF <br /> r <br /> f �-�- c-J ' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> December 17, 2013 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: INTRODUCE ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 11, CHAPTER 11.20, <br /> SECTION 11.20.010 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO <br /> INCLUDE THE NEW SEGMENT OF STONERIDGE DRIVE AND MAKE <br /> MINOR ADJUSTMENTS TO SEGMENTS OF VINEYARD AVENUE AS <br /> PART OF THE SPEED LIMIT REVIEW AND UPDATE OF ENGINEERING <br /> AND TRAFFIC SURVEYS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City's Traffic Engineering staff reviews and updates speed limits on a yearly basis <br /> to ensure that the posted limit provides the most orderly movement of traffic in a safe <br /> and efficient manner and that all posted limits conform to the requirements outlined in <br /> the California Vehicle Code. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt the ordinance adding the new Stoneridge Drive road segment to our ordinance, <br /> correcting the reference to "the end of Stoneridge Drive" in one segment and making <br /> minor length adjustments to two segments on Vineyard Avenue. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There will be minor cost in changing four signs on Stoneridge Drive and adding one <br /> additional speed limit sign on Vineyard Avenue. The Sign Shop estimates the cost will <br /> be $1,200 for labor and materials and these funds are included in the General Fund <br /> operating budget of the streets division. <br />
