NOTICE INVITING BIDS OR PROPOSALS Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the To~n of Pleasanton invites and asks for sealed bids or proposals for doing the work of furnishing of materials, labor and equipment for the following described public improvements to wit: Improvements and resurfacing Third Street from Abbie Street to Angola Street in strict accordance with the plans and specifications therefore now on file in the office of the City Clerk in the Town of Pleasanton as adopted by the Resolution No. 2365 reference to which such plans and ~pecifications being hereby made for any and all particulars. Notice to and attention of bidders is hereby directed to the fact that copies of said plans and specifications may be had upon payment to the City Clerk of the Town of Pleasanton a deposit in the sum of $25.00. Upon return of any such plans and specifications to the City Clerk of the Town of Pleasanton in good condition, the said deposit will be returned to the depositor. All bids will be opened and declared by the City Council in the Town of Pleasanton on the l~th day of June, 195& at the hour of eight (8) o'clock P.M. of said day at and in the Council Chamber of said City Council in the City Hall in Town of Pleasanton. All bids or pro- posals must be in the form prescribed and furnished by the City Clerk of the Town of Pleasanton in the form set forth in the specifications. Said bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or a certified check on or by a responsible bank payable to the Town of Pleasanton in the sum of at leaat ten per cent (10%) of the total amount of the bid or proposal. The City Council of the Town of Pleasanton reserves the right to reject any and all bids or proposals offered and notice is hereby given and attention of the hidder is hereby directed to the fact that the City Council of the Town of Pleasanton has, by Resolution No. 2365 ascertained and declared that the general prevailing rate of per diem wa~es in the locality in which the said proposed work is to be performed in each craft or type of worWn~u needed to execute the contract is and are as ascertained in said Resolution No. 2365 of the City Council of the Town of Pleasanton. Said Resolution No. 2365 is on file in the office of the City Clerk in the Town of Pleasanton and is hereby re- ferred to and made a part of this Notice, the same as if set forth in this Notice in particularity and detail.
