Subject: FW: EPSP Concerns 10/15 city council meeting
l". >^., _ MATERIAL
?rol
he City Council
From: iistrit'c bun of Packet
Sent: Monday, October 14, 2013 4:19 PM
To: Mayor and City Council (1 Cl2N3
Cc: Janice Stern;
Subject: EPSP Concerns 10/15 city council meeting
I am a member of the Danbury Park Board of Directors and a member of the EPSP Task Force. As I
will not be able to attend the Oct 15 meeting, I too wish to express my concerns. I reiterate the
concerns set forth in Heidi Massie's email to you of today.
In addition, my observations (which reflect that of others in Danbury Park) are as follows:
1. I believe the "preferred plan" offerred is much too dense and not in keeping with the character of
the rest of Pleasanton.
2. I believe other less dense options should be considered very carefully for economic feasibility
especially Option number 1. Economic analysis of options such as this should include best and
worse case scenarios so that such options get a fair consideration.
3. With the addition of the already approved project at Bernal and Stanley across from the Arco
station, this area has the potential of being too densely developed resulting in additional traffic and
deficient school availability.
4. The traffic on Valley is already a problem at rush hours especially at the Santa RitaNalley
intersections and the StanleyNalley intersections. The traffic will be a nightmare if there is the
buildout contemplated. Do we want traffic like this all day and on the weekends also? This is a
quality of life issue also.
5. East Pleasanton should not get all the high density housing. The city council has in the past
promised that such housing would be spread evenly throughout the city.
6. Let's not make East Pleasanton another East Dublin.
Thank you for your consideration.
Robert Gonella
Click here to report this email as spam.
i
