~4-1.05 Establishment of Limits of Districts in Which Storage <br /> of Explosives and Blasting Ag'ents is to be Prohibited. <br /> Thellimits referred to in Section 11,106 (b) of the <br /> Uniform Fire Code, in which storage of explosives and <br /> blasting agents is prohibited, are hereby established as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> All zoning districts. <br /> <br /> ~4-1.06 Amendments Made in the Uniform Fire Code. The Uniform <br /> Fire Code is amended and changed in the following respects: <br /> Sectionl.215 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "In order to determine the suitability of alternate <br /> materials and type of construction and to provide <br /> for the reasonable interpretations of the provisions <br /> of this Code, there is hereby established a Board <br /> of Appeals, the members of wh~.ch shall be the City <br /> Council of the City of Pleasanton. The City Manager <br /> shall be anex-of£icio member and shall act as <br /> Secretary 6f the Board. The City Manager shall <br /> call all meetings of the Board. <br /> <br /> ~4-1.07 Appeals. <br /> <br /> Whenever the Fire Chief, or his duly authorized repre- <br /> sentative, shall disapprove an application or refuse <br /> to grant a permit applied for, or when it is claimed <br /> that the provisions of the Code of this chapter do not <br /> apply or that the true intent or meaning of the Code have <br /> been misconstrued or wrongly interpreted, or there is a <br /> dispute as to the suitability of alternate materials and <br /> types of construction, then the applicant may appeal from <br /> the decision of the Fire Chief to the City Council of <br /> the City of Pleasanton sitting as the Board of Appeals <br /> within thirty (30) days from the date of the decision <br /> appealed. Such appeal shall be in writing and the City <br /> Council shall within thirty (30) days of the receipt of <br /> the appeal and by written notice to the applicant either <br /> uphold, reverse or modify the decision of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br /> ~4-1.08 New Materials, Processes or occupancies Which May <br /> Require Permits. The City Manager, the Fire Chief and <br /> the Fire Prevention Officer shall act as a committee to <br /> determine and specify, after giving affected persons ~n <br /> opportunity to be heard, any new materials, processes or <br /> occupancies, which shall require permits, in addition to <br /> those now enumerated in said Code. The Fire Prevention <br /> Officer shall post such list in a conspicuous place in <br /> his office, and distribute copies thereof to interested <br /> persons. <br /> <br />Section 2.
