Section 6004.3.3 is amended to read: <br />6004.3.3 Outdoor storage weather protection for portable tanks and cylinders. <br />Weather protection in accordance with Section 5004.13 and this section shall be <br />provided for portable tanks and cylinders located outdoors and not within gas cabinets <br />or exhausted enclosures. The storage area shall be equipped with an approved <br />automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 <br />20.24.600 CFC Section 6405.4 added — Pyrophoric gas distribution systems. <br />Section 6405.4 is added to read: <br />6405.4 Pyrophoric gas distribution systems. <br />6405.4.1 Ventilation. Cylinders in use and non - welded or brazed connections shall <br />be provided with approved, local ventilation. Failure of the ventilation system (as <br />determined by air flow measurement) shall automatically shut down the distribution <br />system at the source. <br />6405.4.2 Automatic shutdown. Pyrophoric gas distribution systems shall be <br />provided with an approved release detection system at points of use and non - <br />welded or — brazed connections. Upon activation, the detection system shall <br />automatically shut down the distribution system at the source. <br />20.24.610 CFC Section 1103.5 amended — Existing commercial or industrial <br />buildings or structures. <br />1103.5 Existing commercial or industrial buildings or structures. An automatic fire <br />sprinkler system shall be provided in existing commercial buildings in accordance with <br />Section 1103.5.1, Section 1103.5.2 and as follows: <br />1. Additions to any commercial or industrial building creating a 50% or more <br />increase of floor area, or an addition of any size creating a total area exceeding <br />8,000 square feet. <br />Exception: Additions not greater than 500 square feet in area to an existing <br />non -fire sprinklered building providing accessory storage space or solely for <br />the purpose of providing accessibility shall not be required to be provided with <br />automatic fire sprinklers. <br />2. When a change in occupancy classification results in an increased fire hazard or <br />risk to business operations or increased life safety hazard of the occupants. <br />Any detached or attached structure added to a parcel of land already containing <br />automatic extinguishing system protected buildings. <br />20.24.620 CFC Appendix D amended - Fire Apparatus Access Roads. <br />Section D103.4 is amended to read: <br />
