The adoption of these Codes will provide the City of Pleasanton with the most up -to- <br />date standards available under State Law. They will also provide greatly enhanced <br />national and regional consistency, resulting in a more uniform and streamlined <br />application. The proposed ordinance provides that these changes will be effective <br />January 1, 2014, the same time that the State of California is making the State -wide <br />codes go into effect.
