IN THE CITY 00UNOIL FOR TH~ CITY 0~ FLEASANTON, <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA. <br /> <br />RF~0~-UTION NO. 2625 <br /> <br />S~PPORTING A STATS COLLEG~ FOR S0bTH~P~N ALAMEDA <br /> COUNTY. <br /> <br /> ~HEI~AS the groat increase in population in <br />California in recent years has required additional elementary <br />and high schools; and <br /> <br /> WHiFfS this increase already requires additiona~ <br />State colleges to serve tho population centers of California; <br />and <br /> <br /> WI~R~AS Southern Alameda 0ounty is such an area where <br />the growth of population and of business and commercial <br />has been one of Californ~ars fastest ~row~ng areas~ <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOR~, be it resolved as followsl <br /> <br /> That the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />recommends a State College be established in Southern Al&meda <br />County~ <br /> <br /> 2o <br /> <br /> That the City Council of the City of Pleasanton gives <br />its s~pport and aid to passir~ legislation establishing such <br />a State College in Southern Alameda County; <br /> <br /> That the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce be <br /> <br />· o present ~o state and local bodies, and to their offi©ers, <br />ar~ to civic or~anizaticns of Alameda County, the advant~es of <br />lo©ating such a State College in Pleasanton; <br /> <br /> That the City Clerk shall send a copy of this <br /> <br />Page <br /> <br /> <br />
