NOTICE INVITING BIDS OR PROPOSALS <br /> <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />invites and asks for sealed bids or proposals for doing the work of fur- <br />nishing of materials, labor and equipment for the following described public <br />improvements to wit: <br /> <br /> Installation of water main along First Street from Minnie Street to <br />Vineyard Avenue, in strict accordance with plans and specifications there- <br />fore now on file in the office of the City Clerk in the City of Pleasanton <br />as adopted by the Resolution No. 2447 reference to which such plans and <br />apecifications being hereby made for any and all particulars. <br /> <br /> Notice to and attention of bidders is hereby directed to the fact <br />that copies of said plans and specifications may be had upon payment to <br />the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton a deposit in the sum of $25.00. <br />Upon return of any such plans and specifications to the City Clerk of <br />the City of Pleasanton in good condition, the said deposit will be re- <br />turned to the depositor. <br /> <br /> All bids will be opened and declared [~ the City Council in the City <br />of Pleasanton on the 2nd day of May~ 1955 at the hour of eight (8) o'clock, <br />P. M. of said day at and in the Council Cha~er of said City Council in <br />the City Hall in the City of Pleasanton. All bids or proposals must be <br />in the form prescribed and furnished by the City Clerk of the City of <br />Pleasanton in the form set forth in the specifications. Said bids must <br />be accompanied by a cashier's check, or a certified check on or by a <br />responsible bank, or bond, payable to the City of Pleasanton in t~e sum <br />of at least ten per cent (10~) of the total amount of the bid or proposal. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Pleasanton reserves the right to <br />reject any and all bids or proposals offered and notice is hereby given <br />and attention of the bidder is hereby directed to the fact that the City <br />Council of the City of Pleasanton has, by Resolution No. 2447 ascertained <br />and declared that the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the <br />locality in which the said proposed work is to be performed in each craft <br />or type of workman needed to execute the contract is and are as ascertained <br /> <br /> <br />
