Subject: No High-Density at BernalNalley
SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL.
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
From: Joanne Hall CV tS 1J--07-di 3
Sent: Tuesday, September 03, 2013 10:28 AM
To: Pleasanton City Clerk; Maria Hoey
Subject: FW: No High-Density at Bernal/Valley
From: Steve Glenn
Sent: Friday, August 30, 2013 8:16 PM
To: Mayor and City Council
Subject: No High-Density at Bernal/Valley
Jerry,
It was good to meet you last year while riding on the ridge. You seem like someone with a lot of in-depth
knowledge and appreciation of our city.
Regarding the proposed development:
Not only do I have problems with external unelected officials dictating city policies, the proposed high-
density housing near Safeway would be an abomination.
• Do citizens really want Pleasanton to look like Dublin? The 3-story monstrosities would severely erode
the feeling of the neighborhood.
• What about all the services the new residents will need? Which already-crowded schools will be
impacted? These costs will be quite different than those required by the originally-proposed offices.
• What happened to "transit-oriented"? The BART station is a couple miles away.
• With all the activity at the fairgrounds, do we really need more traffic in the area? The Good Guys
gatherings aren't always fun for those of us living nearby.
Please vote against the proposal on Tuesday.
Sincerely,
Steve Glenn
Click here to report this email as spam.
1
