AGREEMENT <br /> I. Veterans Organizations of Pleasanton (VOP). <br /> The VOP shall be composed of the Veterans' associations, as defined in Calif°-nia Military and <br /> Veterans Code section 1260, currently using the Facility: American Legion Post 237, VFW Post <br /> 6298, VFW Post 6298 Ladies' Auxiliary,the Air Force Association Chapter 120 and the addition <br /> of the Major General William F. Dean Chapter of the Association of the Unitec States Army. If <br /> any other Veterans' association intends to be active in matters related to the Facility, that <br /> association shall seek approval from the VOP. Any changes to the membership comprising the <br /> VOP must be submitted to the designated City Liaison in writing. <br /> 2. Veterans Building Committee. <br /> The VOP shall form a Veterans Building Committee("Committee"). <br /> A. Membership of the Committee <br /> The Committee shall be comprised of the Commander and Auxiliary President. and appointed <br /> alternates, from each of the represented Veterans organizations. Within 30 days after the effective <br /> date of this Agreement, the VOP shall provide the City the name, address, and phone number of <br /> the Committee members. Annually, the VOP will provide the City with a revised list of <br /> Committee members after the election of new officers in each of the represented Veterans <br /> associations. The City representative shall be the Director of Community Sery ices, or their <br /> designee, who will act as a liaison between the City and the Committee("City Liaison"). <br /> B. Committee Chairperson <br /> At the first regular meeting of the Committee, the Committee shall elect a Chairperson. The <br /> Chairperson shall: <br /> • Preside at all meetings; <br /> • Appoint Committee members, as needed, to serve on sub-committees and/c r ad hoc <br /> committees; <br /> • Call special meetings; <br /> • Serve as primary contact with the City Liaison. <br /> C. Duties of the Committee <br /> • Coordinate only VOP activities and events held at the Facility. <br /> • Provide the City Liaison with requests for space in the Facility for the purppse of conducting <br /> activities related to the Veterans associations. <br /> • Review Facility maintenance and improvements with the City Liaison. <br /> • Review Facility scheduling, procedures and processes with the City Liaison. <br /> • Make requests for City services not otherwise set forth in this Agreement. <br /> • Any recommendation made to the City requires the approval of a majority of the Committee. <br /> Amended August 2013 <br /> Joint Agreement <br /> Veterans Memorial Building at 301 Main Street <br /> Page 2 of 7 <br />
