THE CITY OF 11 <br /> "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON. <br /> September 3, 2013 <br /> Community Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF THE 2ND AMENDMENT TO THE VETERANS MEMORIAL <br /> BUILDING JOINT USE AGREEMENT WITH THEE VETERANS <br /> ORGANIZATIONS OF PLEASANTON (VOP) <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City entered into a Joint Use Agreement (JUA) between the American Legion Post <br /> 237, VFW Post 6298, and VFW Post 6298 Ladies' Auxiliary collectively known as the <br /> Veterans Organizations of Pleasanton (VOP) on March 15, 2005, for the joint use of the <br /> Veterans Memorial Building, located at 301 Main Street. On July 6, 2013 the Major <br /> General William F. Dean Chapter of the Association of the United States Army <br /> requested membership in the Veterans of Pleasanton Organization. 01 July 16, 2013, <br /> the VOP informed staff that the members (VFW Post 6298, American Legion, VFW Post <br /> 6298 Ladies' Auxiliary and the Air Force Association Chapter 120) unanimously <br /> approved the membership. The JUA has been updated to reflect the new member <br /> Chapter. <br /> PARKS AND RECREATON COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br /> The Parks and Recreation Commission recommended that the City Council approve the <br /> amended Joint Use Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and Veterans <br /> Organizations of Pleasanton. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the 2nd Amendment to the Veterans Memorial Joint Use Agreement with the <br /> Veterans Organizations of Pleasanton (Attachment 1). <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact as a result of the Amendment. <br />
