MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Brown to direct staff to pursue preliminary Option A; to underground the <br /> existing swales. Motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Cook-Kallio, Narum, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Mayor Thorne requested and received Council support for putting together some sort of Council team <br /> for the Fireman's Muster on August 17, 2013. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> Mayor Thorne said he would update staff on the latest League of California Cities Board meeting as <br /> well as provide copies of the agenda and minutes to any interested members of th?, Council. <br /> Councilmember Narum said she attended the recent Economic Vitality Committee workshop where <br /> they had a great discussion on identifying selling points for locating a business in Pleasanton. The <br /> Committee will hold a formal meeting on Thursday. <br /> Mayor Thorne asked and staff confirmed that members of the Planning Commission are invited to <br /> attend the League's Planning Commission training program. Mr. Fialho stated that Commissioners are <br /> offered one conference per year, which is typically this training program or the local government <br /> commission. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. The Council extended a <br /> tribute to our nation's men and women serving in the military.
