Karen Diaz
Subject: FW: City Council agenda Tuesday August 20, 2013 ' , -K ¢ao- ATERIAL
A1!(:ieet 10 tile. City Council
=\ter oistribu:ion of Packet
From: Who Bronzini [ Date
Sent: Monday, August 19, 2013 4:39 PM
To: Mayor and City Council; Steve Otto;
Subject: City Council agenda Tuesday August 20, 2013
Dear Mayor Thorne and members of the Council. My position on the Dcwntown historical
preservation matter is no different today than it was when this issue came up some months
ago.
We do not need more restrictions and regulations, there are regulations and restrictions in
place now which are quite adequate. Look at Downtown today compared to ten or twenty
years ago. There is a sense of pride of ownership, people who own property Downtown have
done a good job of improving their properties.
To have to go through additional approval processes will only discourage property owners
from investing, it is a very expensive and lengthy process now to get projects approved, I
can't imagine how much longer it would take and how much more costly it would be if we
had to jump through more hoops.
I ask you as a business man of fifty years, please do not take this matter lightly, it will hurt
Downtown, not help it.
Sincerely
Velio (Al) Bronzini
Property owner Main Street.
i
