Upon review,as I suspected,I believe this report is seriously flawed and lacking crucial information. It does not provide any data/analysis of the impact/increase in southbound and northbound traffic on Bernal Avenue between Valley/Stanley and Sunol Blvd.,nor does it provide any data/analysis of the impact/increase in eastbound and westbound traf is on Stanley/First Street between Valley/Bemal and Sunol Blvd. The authors of the study apparently are either unaware of or overlooked the already heavy traffic flows on the:+e two traffic corridors,both of which will most certainly see increased congestion from the additional traffic that will be generated from this passive housing project that will be heading to and from 1-680 via the Sunol Blvd. on and off ramps. Why wasn't that considered and researched?Why didn't anyone on the Planning Commission inquire about it Why didn't the City Traffic Engineering department request that it be researched? Additionally,even the immediate intersections(those closest to the proposed project)have LOS ratings of E cr F,which are terrible. That said,any so-called "fast track"approval of this massive housing project should be withheld until a more horough study of traffic impacts is conducted,reviewed,and the results considered. If none have been done,please advise. Also,if an EIR was completed that includes a traffic analysis,can you please forward that as well?
