Commendation recognizing Jill Vellinger, President of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council for the "The Big Draw Celebration" Ms. Vellinger described the celebration as a chalk art festival that, with the help of several other arts organizations, was a successful community effort that raised over $5,000 for arts in the schools. The event featured emerging artists, middle school students, and 3 professional artists as well as a rummage sale and several vendor booths.
