• In-Lieu Park Dedication fees are limited to projects related to acquiring parkland. A total of <br /> $543,742 is included in the four years of the CIP to fund a reserve to acquire land for a new <br /> community park(s). <br /> Miscellaneous <br /> • $200,000 is included to perform maintenance on City parking lots. <br /> • $310,000 is included to fund the acquisition and installation of Radio Frequency Identification <br /> Tagging which will improve inventory control and Automated Material Sorting equipment to <br /> improve the processing of returned material at the Pleasanton Library. These technologies were <br /> anticipated at the time the City established an independent City library and recent technological <br /> improvements now make them cost effective and reliable. The new equipment will assist in <br /> addressing increased service requests and material processing at the Pleasanton Library. <br /> • $340,000 to install a new roof on the Pleasanton Library. The existing roof has recently had <br /> leaking issues and City maintenance staff has determined that replacement is the most effective <br /> approach to addressing the issue. <br /> • A total of$165,000 to resurface the tennis courts at the Pleasanton Tennis and Community Park. <br /> Water and Sewer <br /> • A total of$2,000,000 is allocated for annual sanitary sewer main replacements and <br /> improvements and $1,830,000 for annual water main replacements. <br /> • $3,000,000 for the purchase and implementation of an automated meter reading system. While <br /> this project has been anticipated for some time, recent product improvements now make it cost <br /> effective and consistent with utility needs. The project will result in co usiderable operational <br /> saving and improved data control. <br /> • A total of$700,000 over the four years of the CIP for annual water and sewer pump and motor <br /> repairs. <br /> American with Disabilities Act Expenditures <br /> The City also has a priority of highlighting CIP accessibility projects. In addition to the CIP as one <br /> source of funding that addresses this issue, the City Facilities Renovation Fund includes $50,000 <br /> annually for ADA compliance projects.
