Attachment 2 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS (EPMC) FOR AFSCME <br /> LOCAL 955/PCEA <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has the authority to implement <br /> Government Code Section 20636(c)(4) pursuant to Section 20691; and <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has a written agreement which <br /> specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by the employer and <br /> reported as additional compensation; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is the adoption <br /> by the governing body of the City of Pleasanton of a Resolution to commence paying and <br /> reporting the value of said Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC); and <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Pleasanton has identified the following <br /> conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: This benefit shall apply to all employees considered "classic members" as <br /> defined by CaIPERS and covered by AFSCME Local 955/Pleasanton City Employees <br /> Association. <br /> SECTION 2: This benefit shall consist of paying the following normal contributions as <br /> EPMC and reporting the same percent (value) of compensation eanable (excluding <br /> Government Code Section 20636 (c)(4)) as additional compensation: <br /> • 2% effective March 25. 2013, <br /> • 0% effective December 7, 2013, <br /> in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pleasanton and the <br /> AFSCME/PCEA Local 955, approved by this Council on June 4, 2013. <br /> SECTION 3: That the governing body of the City of Pleasanton elects to Day and report the <br /> value of EPMC as set forth above. <br /> SECTION 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a <br /> regular meeting held on June 4, 2013. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify i:hat the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 4t1 of June, of 2013, <br /> by the following vote: <br />
