The Pacific Chamber Symphony has been a grantee since the Commission first began years ago. We have served the Pleasanton Community for 20 years. My appearance before you will be to ask for reconsideration of the non-recommendation by the Commission for the Pacific Chamber Symphony grants request which was due solely to my absence from the Commission meeting. The letter below details the exceptional nature of my absence as well as other factors that combined together bring me to appeal to you. I attended the last month's City Council meeting until 11:00 pm when it was announced that the Community Grants item would be held over until this month. Commissioner Sara Nealy also attend last month to speak in support of my request for reconsideration. I had no idea that she was going to do so. I do hope that under the circumstances you are willing to consider funding our educational programs and/or refer the consideration back again to the Commission.
