CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 847 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PLEASANTON ORDINANCE CODE TO <br /> MAKE PARKING VIOLATIONS INFRACTIONS BY ADDING SECTION <br /> 1-1.15 (INFRACTIONS) TO CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE I AND BY <br /> DELETING SECTION 5-1.57 (PENALTIES) FROM ARTICLE 3 <br /> OF TITLE V. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That Chapter 1, Title I of the Ordinance Code of the City <br /> of Pleasanton be amended by adding the following section: <br /> ~1-1.15 Infractions. Notwithstanding ~1-1.11, <br /> any person who violates a provision of this code <br /> designated herein shall be guilty of an infraction, <br /> punishable by (1) a fine not exceeding fifty dollars <br /> ($50) for the first violation; (2) a fine not ex- <br /> ceeding one hundred dollars ($100) for a second <br /> violation of the same ordinance within one year; <br /> (.3) a fine not exceeding two hundred fifty dollars <br /> ($250) for each additional violation of the same <br /> ordinance within one year. The following sections <br /> are designated punishable as infractions: <br /> <br /> a. Title V (Vehicle and Traffic, Streets and <br /> Highways) Chapter 3 (...Stopping and Park- <br /> ing). <br /> <br /> Section 2. That ~5-1.57 (Penalties) of Article 3 (Enforcement and <br /> Obedience to Traffic Regulations) Title V (Vehicles and <br /> Traffic, Street and Highways) be deleted. <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days <br /> after passage and adoption. <br /> Section 4.
