AP-85 Other Actions <br /> Introduction <br /> This section describes the City of Pleasanton's planned actions to carry out the followirg strategies <br /> outlined in the Consolidated Plan: <br /> • Foster and maintain affordable housing; <br /> • Evaluate and reduce lead-based paint hazards; <br /> • Reduce the number of poverty-level families; <br /> • Develop institutional structure; and <br /> • Enhance coordination. <br /> The sections also identifies obstacles to meeting underserved needs and propose actions to overcome <br /> those obstacles. <br /> Actions planned to address obstacles to meeting underserved needs <br /> The City of Pleasanton's Human Services Commission meets monthly to coordinate the delivery of <br /> services(including housing)to lower income residents and special needs groups in the area in <br /> cooperation with "Interact," a body comprised of representatives of each of the social service agencies <br /> in the Tri Valley area. Approximately twice yearly,the Commission holds a special,joint meeting with <br /> the City of Livermore Human Services Commission to coordinate the delivery of services in the greater <br /> Tri Valley area.The cities recently completed a comprehensive to the Tri-Valley Human Services Needs <br /> Assessment that was originally completed in 2003.The update incorporates data from the 2010 Census <br /> and will provide an updated and more accurate picture of services gaps in the Tri-Valley. <br /> Actions planned to foster and maintain affordable housing <br /> The specific actions planned by the City of foster and maintain affordable housing are described in detail <br /> in <br /> section AP-75 (Barriers to Affordable Housing)of this Plan. <br /> Actions planned to reduce lead-based paint hazards <br /> The Alameda County Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (ACLPPP), a department of the Alameda <br /> County Community Development Agency, plays a primary role in addressing prevention and treatment <br /> of lead poisoning county-wide. Its lead hazard reduction program is focused within the County Services <br /> Annual Action Plan 36 <br /> 2013 <br /> 0MB Control No:2506-0117(exp.07/31/2015) <br />
