4. May 24, 2006 - Staff deletes reference to a ridgeline preservation ordinance from the General
Plan chapter that is reviewed at the Planning Commission.
5. Summer 2006 - Regarding the proposal for 2 houses on the lawn of the Neal Street nursing
home across from Bonnie and Fred Kirchbaum's house, staff refuses to provide history of
approval of the original nursing home city approvals that mandated the lawn be put there in order
to have 129 beds in the nursing home. I meet with city manager and complain about
staff(Donna Decker, Julie Harryman) not providing these to the Planning Commission as
requested. City manager says that I should locate the documents. I spent 2 weeks pulling the
locating the documents from the city council, planning commission and design review board
minutes from the 60s, 70s, and 80. At the same time, pull all the documents related
to previous meeting references to not allowing development of 25% or greater slope and the
development of the original ridgeline preservation language in the General Plans.
6. Since staff refused to even agendize the topic of a ridgeline ordinance and was taking out
policy recommendations from the Planning Commission similar to the 1970s saga, I proceeded to
start work on writing an initiative.
