THE CITY OF /1
1
CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT L
pL£ASANTON.
April 16, 2013
City Manager
TITLE: APPROVAL OF CITY COUNCIL TWO YEAR ANNUAL WORK PLAN
SUMMARY
This report provides information needed for the City Council to adopt a new Annual
Work Plan that unless amended at a subsequent date, would be in place until April/May
of 2015. The Annual Work Plan (Work Plan) is designed to inform the community of the
Council's "shared vision" of high priority projects and to provide the City Manager with
the policy direction needed to manage City resources and to prepare the City Budget,
which is currently underway. It is anticipated the Council may update the Work Plan as
needed during these two years to reflect new priorities or projects and to assure that it
remains consistent with City Council goals and objectives and ongoing communication
with the community.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Annual Work Plan attached to this report as Attachment A.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
There is no direct financial impact as a result of this report. However many of the
projects included in the work plan have a financial impact which will be addressed
through the City Budget including the Capital Improvement Program.
