I wanted to express my opposition to the city staffs proposal to add language to the General Plan (Section 18.70.030) so that any public or private street referenced in a Specific Plan or Planned Unit Development that was approved prior to November 2008 can be "grandfathered in and will not be affected by the terms of Measure PP. The city staff is trying to manipulate and amend Measure PP even though it specifically states that any amending or repealing of PP provisions can only be by Pleasanton's voters at a general election. It also states that PP OVERRIDES any existing plans when passed. This seems clear to me, but apparently not to city staff! Accessing Lund Ranch 2 through Ventana Hills (the community east of Independence Drive)would not violate the grading limitations (25% slope or less)outlined in Measure PP. Accessing through streets such as Sunset Creek Lane and Sycamore Creek Way would violate the provisions. Thank you for considering my concerns.
