ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, EXTENDING PERMIT RESIDENTIAL PARKING PROGRAM TO INCLUDE WALNUT DRIVE. WHEREAS, on August 2, 1988, the City Council adopted Ordinance 1376 to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to establish a new chapter 11.38, Residential Permit Parking Zone; and WHEREAS, on January 17, 2006, the City Council adopted Ordinance 1931 to modify Ord. 1376 to allow Residential Permit Parking Zones for any time, day or date specified by City Council; and WHEREAS, the above-referenced Ordinance requires specific zone boundaries and time restrictions be approved by City resolution; WHEREAS, Residential Permit Parking Zone guidelines were created to outline the procedures for establishment of residential permit parking zones; and WHEREAS, The guidelines were followed by City staff to determine that a sufficient percentage of non resident vehicles are parked on Walnut Drive, and WHEREAS, The residents of Walnut Drive have provided a petition in support of the installation of residential permit parking on their street; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. The City hereby establishes a Residential Permit Parking Zone on all portions of Walnut Drive. SECTION 2. The days and hours of the Residential Permit Parking Zone shall be from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on April 16, 2013.
