COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were none. <br /> COMMISSION REPORTS <br /> 9. Committee Meetings <br /> a Cultural Plan Update Steering Committee <br /> Chairperson McLane, Commissioner De Baca Martens and Ms. Crose attended the first <br /> meeting with the consultants and provided them with information and suggestions of things the <br /> Commission would like to see considered for the future. Suggested additional information <br /> should be forwarded to Ms. Grose so she can forward to the consultant. <br /> b. PCAC Event Support <br /> Ms. Grose advised that planning for the event is moving forward, budget information is being <br /> finalized, three pianos have been secured for the piano program, and chalk artists have been <br /> secured. The Tri-Valley YMCA and three local schools are to create artwork on the pianos. <br /> The event date is May 11, but chalk artists will begin drawings on May 10. Information can be <br /> obtained at www.the-big-draw.com. <br /> Chairperson McLane suggested that local media be contacted to do a story on Howard <br /> Seebach and how he was instrumental in getting the piano event in place. Commissioner <br /> Hess provided additional advertising and promotion ideas, and advised that an update on the <br /> event will be given to the Commission by PCAC. Commissioner Massie advised that PCAC is <br /> trying to get emerging artists to work on the projects with the paid artists. <br /> c. Park and Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee <br /> Commissioner Loll advised that the Committee has held the last of the public workshops and <br /> collected ideas will be provided soon so the Commission can review. Next steps will be to <br /> create a vision. <br /> d. Public Art Selection Sub-Committee <br /> No report. <br /> COMMISSION COMMENTS <br /> A.
