THE CITY OF 9 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLE-ASA-Ni. <br /> March 5, 2013 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON <br /> IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GENERAL PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT <br /> FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2012 AND AUTHORIZE SUBMITTAL TO <br /> THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT AND THE GOVERNER'S OFFICE OF PLANNING AND <br /> RESEARCH <br /> SUMMARY <br /> A report on the status of the Pleasanton General Plan Housing Element has been <br /> prepared for the 2012 calendar year. State law requires each local jurisdiction to provide <br /> an annual report on the housing element. The report must be approved by the local <br /> legislative body through a resolution and submitted to the State by April 1st each year. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution accompanying this report <br /> that approves the Housing Element Annual Progress Report - 2012, and authorizes <br /> submittal of the report to the State of California Department of Housing and Community <br /> Development (HCD) and the Governor's Office of Planning and Research. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> No financial impact. <br />
