Commendation for the Amador Valley High School Band <br /> Jonathan Graham, Band Director, introduced Ellen Penske-McGraw, who was critical in spearheading <br /> efforts for the band's recent trip to the Fiesta Bowl. He thanked Amador Friends of Music President <br /> Brian Cavanaugh for the organization's support. <br /> Ms. Penske-McGraw thanked the Pleasanton community for its support and invited all to attend the <br /> annual Magic of Music Fundraiser on March 24th. <br /> Brandon Park, sophomore drum major, thanked the community for its support in getting the band to the <br /> Fiesta Bowl. <br /> Naomi Chan, junior drum major, also thanked the community for its constant support. <br /> Eric Butler, senior drum major, echoed his thanks. He said many take Pleasanton's rich arts programs <br /> for granted and it is a wonderful experience to share their fortune with the rest of the country. <br /> The Council extended their compliments, and Councilmember Pentin presented the commendation. <br /> 11. Commendation for City Employee Jay Wilkerson in conjunction with Sentinels of Freedom <br /> Councilmember Pentin invited Mike Conklin, Tom Daggett and Doug Miller from the Sentinels of <br /> Freedom along with Jay Wilkerson and Director of Operation Services Smith to the podium and <br /> presented the commendation. <br /> City Council Minutes Page 2 of 11 February 19, 2013 <br />
