CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1018 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-6.05, ARTICLE 2, <br /> CHAPTER 6 (DECREASE IN STATE SPEED LIMIT IN <br /> CERTAIN ZONES), TITLE V (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, <br /> STREETS AND HIGHWAYS) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF <br /> THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES OP~AIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Article 2 (Decrease in State Speed Limits in <br /> Certain Zones) of Chapter 6 (Speed Zones) of Title V <br /> (Vehicles and Traffic, Streets and Highways) of <br /> the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is <br /> amended to add the following: <br /> <br /> Subsection (v-3): Valley Avenue. On Valley <br /> Avenue from Hopyard'Road to Hansen Drive the speed <br /> limit shall be 35 miles per hour. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption. in "The Valley <br /> Times," a newspaper of general circulation published <br /> in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton on January 26,1982. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton on February 9, 1982 by the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood andMayor ~.~rcer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None ~~RCER~ <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />~ames R.
