EAST PLEASANTON SPECIFIC PLAN <br /> OVERVIEW <br /> 0 <br /> A community workshop was held on November 29,2012 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Henry P. Mohr Elementary <br /> School.Approximately 40 community members attended the workshop.The purpose of this workshop was <br /> to"collect input regarding the community's vision for the future development of the East Pleasanton Spe- 0 <br /> cific Plan Area".The agenda,the presentation and the written comments are provided as appendices to this <br /> report. LA <br /> The evening began with introductions and a presentation that included brief discussions of the Plan area lo- <br /> cation and context,acreages,the planning process,and site development constraints and opportunities.The > <br /> presentation also included a discussion of key components for consideration during the planning process. <br /> These included entries and gateways,complete streets,central places,mixed use,parks,open space/habitat/ <br /> lakes,trails and sustainability. <br /> Following the presentation,participants were invited to visit four"idea stations"with topics including <br /> Character,Land Use,Circulation and Open Space/ Sustainability. Each station featured image boards that <br /> listed brief vision statements and questions to promote discussion. Representatives from Zone 7 were avail- <br /> able at the Open Space station to answer questions regarding their involvement in the project.A fifth station <br /> collected any general comments or questions that arose.
