MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> December 4, 2012 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> SPECIAL ITEMS <br /> 1. Approved regular meeting minutes of November 20, 2012 <br /> 2. Adopted Resolution No. 12-583 declaring the results of the November 6, 2012 General Municipal <br /> Election <br /> 3. Waived second reading and Adopted Ordinance No. 2055 amending Chapter 9.04 (Noise <br /> Regulations), Chapter 18.08 (Definitions), Chapter 18.44 (C Commercial Districts), Chapter 18.74 <br /> (Downtown Revitalization District), Chapter 18.116 (Temporary Uses) of the Pleasanton Municipal <br /> Code, as filed under Case P12-0798 ** Councilmembers McGovern & Sullivan voted no <br /> City Manager Fialho noted a modification to the staff, which reflects Councilmembers McGovern <br /> and Sullivan voting in favor of rather than against the ordinance. <br /> Councilmember McGovern said she would still prefer the staff recommendation for a larger <br /> neighborhood transition zone and therefore would again be voting "no." <br /> Councilmember Sullivan concurred. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Cook-Kallio/McGovern to approve Consent Calendar, as noted. Motion <br /> carried by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Hosterman <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> REMARKS <br /> Councilmembers McGovern, Sullivan and Mayor Hosterman each shared personal remarks, <br /> congratulating the newly elected members of the Council and thanking City staff, mentors and peers for <br /> their years of support. <br /> SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br /> Miriam Rinosa, Senator Ellen Corbett's office, read a proclamation honoring the three outgoing City <br /> Councilmembers. She highlighted their many achievements and extended special recognition and <br /> commendations to each for their fine public accomplishments. <br />
