RESOLUTION NO. 12-580 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE DOWNTOWN HOSPITALITY <br /> GUIDELINES AND ASSOCIATED PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> AMENDMENTS, AS FILED UNDER CASES P11-0824 AND P12-0798 <br /> WHEREAS, at its special meeting of November 27, 2012, the City Council received a <br /> proposed Negative Declaration for the City-initiated application to adopt Downtown Hospitality <br /> Guidelines (DHG) and associated amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study, dated November 2, <br /> 2012, and received the recommendations of staff and the Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on November 27, 2012, at which time <br /> the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br /> project, and where the City Council was able to receive written comments from cther organizations <br /> and interested persons; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts of the proposed project <br /> amendment in accordance with the applicable state and local laws and guideliles governing the <br /> preparation of Negative Declarations; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed project would not have any significant <br /> adverse effects on the environment. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER TILE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The Negative Declaration for Downtown Hospitality Guidelines and <br /> associated amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code is approved. <br /> SECTION 2. City staff is directed to cause a Notice of Determination to be filed pursuant <br /> to Section 5.4(g) of Resolution No. 77-66. <br /> SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a special meeting held on November 27, 2012. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a special meeting held on the 27th day of <br /> November, 2012 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Noes: Councilmembers McGovern, Sullivan <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br />
