RESOLUTION NO. 12-582 <br /> A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FIXED AND UNIFORM REFUSE COLLECTION <br /> RATES FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2013 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton (City) and Pleasanton Garbage Service, Inc. <br /> (Contractor) have entered into the Refuse Collection Agreement (Franchise) dated March 6, 1989 <br /> for the exclusive regular curbside collection, transportation and disposal of dry garbage, refuse and <br /> recyclable material from the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 9.20.090 of the City of Pleasanton Municipal <br /> Code, rates for Franchise services shall be set by a resolution approved by the City Council of <br /> the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor shall conduct all billing related to construction, transportation, <br /> recycling and disposal of said garbage and refuse in strict accordance with rates listed in this <br /> Resolution. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The fee schedule set forth in Resolution No. 09-275 is hereby rescinded. <br /> SECTION 2. The rates for the regular curbside collection, transport and disposal of dry <br /> garbage, refuse and recyclable material, including recycling, from the City of Pleasanton for <br /> Commercial Services, Residential Services and for Transfer Station Services, are adopted as <br /> outlined in Exhibit A, attached and incorporated herein, and shall be effective as of January 1, <br /> 2013. <br /> SECTION 3.
