ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, APPROVING A <br /> NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE DOWNTOWN HOSPITALITY GUIDELINES AND <br /> ASSOCIATED PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENTS, AS FILED UNDER <br /> CASES P11-0824 AND P12-0798 <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 27, 2012, the City Council received a proposed Negative <br /> Declaration for the City-initiated application to adopt Downtown Hospitality Guidelines (DHG) and <br /> associated amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study, dated November 2, 2012, <br /> and received the recommendations of staff and the Planning Commission; and, <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on November 27, 2012, at which time the <br /> public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project, and <br /> where the City Council was able to receive written comments from other organizations and interested <br /> persons; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts of the proposed project <br /> amendment in accordance with the applicable state and local laws and guidelines governing the <br /> preparation of Negative Declarations; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed project would not have any significant <br /> adverse effects on the environment, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Approves the Negative Declaration for Downtown Hospitality Guidelines and <br /> associated amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code. <br /> SECTION 2. The City staff is directed to cause a Notice of Determination to be filed pursuant to <br /> Section 5.4(g) of Resolution No. 77-66. <br /> SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a <br /> special meeting held on November 27, 2012. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a special meeting held on the 27th day of November, <br /> 2012 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br />
