ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. 12- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE DOWNTOWN HOSPITALITY GUIDELINES AND ASSOCIATED PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENTS, AS FILED UNDER CASES P11-0824 AND P12-0798 WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 27, 2012, the City Council received a proposed Negative Declaration for the City-initiated application to adopt Downtown Hospitality Guidelines (DHG) and associated amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code; and, WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study, dated November 2, 2012, and received the recommendations of staff and the Planning Commission; and, WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on November 27, 2012, at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project, and where the City Council was able to receive written comments from other organizations and interested persons; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts of the proposed project amendment in accordance with the applicable state and local laws and guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed project would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. Approves the Negative Declaration for Downtown Hospitality Guidelines and associated amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code. SECTION 2. The City staff is directed to cause a Notice of Determination to be filed pursuant to Section 5.4(g) of Resolution No. 77-66. SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a special meeting held on November 27, 2012.
