RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> APPROVING THE COMBINED EXPENDITURE FROM THE CITIZENS' OPTIONS FOR <br /> PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAM FUNDS (COPS) AND FEDERAL ASSET FORFEITURE <br /> FUNDS <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 18, 2012, the City Council was presented a <br /> report recommending the use of Citizens' Option for Public Safety (COPS) Funds and the Police <br /> Department's Federal Asset Forfeiture Funds. The Citizens' Option for Public Safety Funds are <br /> received from the State, as outlined in Section 30061 of the Government Code and in <br /> accordance with AB 1584. Federal Asset Forfeiture Funds are generally the result of property <br /> seizures stemming from narcotics investigations and may be used by the Police Department in <br /> furtherance of legitimate law enforcement interests. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves the recommendations for expenditures <br /> of COPS 16 Funds and the Police Department's Federal Asset Forfeiture Funds as follows: <br /> Approximate <br /> Allocation <br /> Police Armored Rescue Vehicle $ 114,100 <br /> SECTION 2.
