THE CITY OF 11 <br /> -- # - CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON® <br /> August 21, 2012 <br /> Economic Development <br /> TITLE: ADOPT EAST BAY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE'S 'OPEN <br /> FOR BUSINESS' PLEDGE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Through the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA) an 'Open for <br /> Business' Pledge has been developed as part of an initiative to promote the region's <br /> business-friendly environment. Cities and regulatory agencies in both Alameda and <br /> Contra Costa Counties are asked to adopt the Pledge as an indication of their <br /> commitment to economic development and providing excellent customer service in that <br /> regard. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt Resolution confirming the City of Pleasanton's support for the East Bay EDA's <br /> 'Open for Business' Pledge. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no fiscal impact. <br />
