THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P~ASANTON COUntY OF ,tIJ~.~fEDA, ...... ~' ~F ~SOLUTT.~N NO..2699 ~[~REAS, by Public Law 655, 84th Congress (70 Stat. 493), the federal Govermment has authorized the donation of surplus Federal property for civil defense purposes; and Jf_Ei{EAS, certain donditions are imposed by the Federal Civil Defense Aaministration, the De?artment of Health, Elucation and -~felfare, the California Disaster Office, and the Surplus Property Division of the State Department of Education in connection with the acquisition of such property; and ~.'~H~AS~ the City of Pleasanton desires to become eligible to acquire such property; ~0~1~, T[~YdtFOfiS, t~ IS ~DSOLVED by the City Council of said City that CLA~EE>]CE W. ~]iSONI~iU~% shall be and is hereby authorized as the rep- resentative of said City to sign for and accept surplus' Federal property Ja~ accordance with the conditions imposed by the above agencies; and IT IS Fbl~THER D~ESOLYED that the Clerk of th~s Council is i~ere~y aathorized and directed to send two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to the California Disaster Office, for filing with said Disaster Office and with the State Department of Eduaation; and IT IS FURT~i.'t RESOLVED tnat Resolution No. 2644 is hereby re- scinded and superceded by this l{esolution. IT iS F~LRTHEt ~SOLVED that this resolution of authorization shall remain in full force and effect until amended, superseded, or re- scinded by resolution of this Council transmitted, in duplicate, to the California Disaster Office.
