THE CITY OF 5 <br /> ® # ° -'- "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTONm <br /> July 17, 2012 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE 2012 LEAGUE OF <br /> CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The League of California Cities 2012 Annual Conference is scheduled for September 5-7 in San <br /> Diego. An important part of this Conference is the Annual Business Meeting. At this meeting, <br /> the League membership considers and takes action on resolutions that establish League policy. <br /> In order to vote on the proposed resolutions the City Council must designate a voting delegate <br /> in advance of the conference. <br /> The current Council representative to the League of California Cities East Bay Division is <br /> Councilmember Thorne and consistent with past practice, he would serve as the voting <br /> delegate. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Designate Councilmember Thorne as the City's voting delegate for the 2012 League of <br /> California Cities Annual Conference. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact as a result of this action. <br /> 0 <br /> Submitt d by: <br /> v <br /> Nelson Fialho <br /> City Manager <br />
