Summary of Major Funded Projects <br /> Streets <br /> • Provides a total of $6,245,800 over the next three years of the CIP for street <br /> resurfacing. The actual streets to be resurfaced will be determined following an <br /> update to the City's pavement management system. <br /> • Includes $2,265,000 for various street related maintenance and improvement <br /> projects including sidewalk replacement ($600,000), slurry sealing ($715,000), <br /> installation of traffic buttons and line markers ($200,000), sidewalk ramp <br /> installation ($390,000), annual evaluation of City streets ($60,000) and <br /> intersection improvements at various locations ($300,000). <br /> • Includes $665,664 for installation of bicycle and pedestrian improvements at <br /> various locations based on need and recommendations for City commissions, <br /> committees and staff. <br /> Parks <br /> • Included is $228,400 for general trails improvement as identified by the Parks <br /> and Recreation Commission, Trails Ad Hoc Committee, and staff. <br /> • In Lieu Park Dedication fees are limited to projects related to acquiring parkland. <br /> A total of $3,658,472 is included in the three remaining years of the CIP to fund a <br /> reserve to acquire land for a new community park(s). This amount is in addition <br /> to an existing reserve of approximately $1,828,623 for park acquisition. Staff is <br /> recommending that the existing reserve balance be transferred to the Bernal <br /> Property Improvement Reserve for purposes of offsetting the cost of the Oak <br /> Woodland area adjacent to Bernal Community Park Phase II. <br /> • Note that no additional funding is included for improvements at the Dolores <br /> Bengtson Aquatic Center which is funded in this current year. Staff is finalizing <br /> bid specifications and anticipates receipt of bids later this summer. Based on bid <br /> results staff may require additional project funding to complete the project. <br /> Miscellaneous <br /> • A total estimated contribution to the CIPR of $5,348,973 over the final three <br /> years of the CIP. Project funding is dependent upon developer fee revenue and <br /> General Fund transfers. <br /> Water and Sewer <br /> • A total of$1,320,000 is allocated for annual water main replacement projects. <br /> 50 <br />
