The <br /> budget is being presented to the City Council on June 19, 2012 for approval. Funding <br /> of this project includes Gas Tax, Measure B, and Proposition 1B monies. <br /> Staff recommends awarding this project prior to the start of Fiscal Year 2012-13, but at <br /> the same Council meeting as the anticipated approval of the entire 2012-13 CIP budget, <br /> to ensure that paving can be completed during the necessary summer temperatures for <br /> optimum paving results (some of the paving operations on Hopyard Road, Stoneridge <br /> Drive, and Owens Drive are required to be performed at night to minimize vehicular <br /> impact). Approval will also allow the preparatory work for this year's slurry seal project <br /> to be substantially complete prior to the anticipated start of the slurry seal project. The <br /> Notice to Proceed for the resurfacing project will not be issued until the budget is <br /> approved and the project is fully funded. <br /> This project will also receive funding from CalRecycle Grant in the maximum not-t0- <br /> exceed amount of $55,483. The CalRecycle Grant will be paid to the City on a <br /> reimbursement basis. The estimated total expenditure for the project is $2,921,483. <br /> Including a 10% construction contingency of $263,106 (see attached funding and <br /> expenditures summary), <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br />
