CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 979 <br /> <br /> APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION TO REZONE AN APPROXIMATELY 8.3 ACRE <br /> SITE OWNED BY THE SAN FRANCISCO CITY AND COUNTY <br /> WATER DEPARTMENT BOUNDED BY THE ARROYO DEL VALLE <br /> ON THE NORTH, ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS/VALLEY <br /> AVENUE EXTENSION ON THE EAST, WITH THE BALANCE <br /> BEING SURROUNDED BY THE FROM{ PROPERTY FROM THE <br /> "S" (STUDY) DISTRICT TO PUD-INDUSTRIAL COFD~ERCIAL <br /> AND OFFICES DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton has <br /> applied to have an approximately 8.3 acre site owned <br /> by the San Francisco City and County Water Department <br /> bounded by the Arroyo Del Valle on the north, Alameda <br /> County Fairgrounds/Valley Avenue extension on the east, <br /> with the balance being surrounded by the Fromm property <br /> from the "S" (Study) District to PUD-Industrial <br /> Commercial and Offices District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was prepared for the <br /> Fromm property which included this 8.3 acre site, due <br /> to the fact that the property is surrounded by the <br /> Frommproperty, and in granting approval of the Fromm <br /> property, mitigating conditions and a statement of <br /> overriding considerations were made which are also <br /> applicable to this particular piece of property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation <br /> for approval of the rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on June 9, 1981; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council. funds that this rezoning is consistent <br /> with the General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves the rezoning of an approximately 8.3 acre <br /> site bounded by the Arroyo Del Valle on the north, <br /> Alameda County Fairgrounds/Valley Avenue extension on <br /> the east, with the balance being surrounded by the Fromm <br /> property from the "S" (Study) District to PUD-Industrial <br /> Commercial and Offices District. <br /> <br /> Section 2: The Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton dated <br /> April 18, 1960, on file with the City Clerk, designating <br /> <br /> <br />
