Buildings located on the corner of two public streets, end of a major <br /> pedestrian or shared path, and/or end of an important vista should have a <br /> unique architectural element. <br /> C6.b. A unique architectural element can be a change in height, a definition of a <br /> public plaza, and or a change in architectural style. <br /> C7. Building Signage <br /> rri <br /> r . <br /> Design Guidelines <br /> C7.a. Site signage should feature individually formed lettering and should have an <br /> artistic design element as well as addressing way finding. <br /> C7.b. Backlit box signs are not permitted, except when required by the Fire <br /> Department for addressing. <br /> C7.c. Site signs should have design features consistent with the buildings in the <br /> development, and should be integrated into the site development and <br /> landscaping. <br /> C7.d. Attractive signage directories are encouraged to help provide way finding <br /> within the development. <br /> C8. Bike Parking <br /> Development Standards: <br /> C8.1. Weather protected and secure bike parking spaces shall be provided for a <br /> minimum of 0.8 space per dwelling unit. Bike parking can be grouped into one <br /> structure, parking garage or located in private garages. <br /> C8.2 A minimum of 2 public bike racks shall be provided for every 50 residential <br /> units. Bike racks shall be clearly visible from main entry and located within <br /> 100 feet of the door. If the project has multiple entries, bicycle racks shall be <br /> proportionally dispersed. <br /> C8.3 A minimum of 2 public bike racks shall be provided for every 5,000 sf or retail <br /> space.
