3 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> - "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTONc <br /> June 5, 2012 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE A PROFESSIONAL <br /> SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH METROPOLITAN PLANNING GROUP <br /> (MPG) FOR PLANNING SERVICES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Planning Division anticipates the need for temporary planning assistance as the <br /> result of an Associate Planner being on maternity leave for four months this summer. <br /> The Metropolitan Planning Group (MPG) proposes to provide an experienced <br /> professional planner to fill this temporary need, for a total contract amount not to exceed <br /> $48,960. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with <br /> Metropolitan Planning Group (MPG). <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The contract total not to exceed $48,960 will be covered by approximately $27,000 in <br /> salary savings. The remaining funds have been included in the recommended 2012/13 <br /> Mid-Term Budget. <br />
