That the County Boundary Commission of Alameda County, California, did on September 17, 1959, by Recommendation No. 59S approve the above described and proposed boundaries of said terri- tory, as set forth above. 5. That ~~'~ ~ 3., 1959, at the hour of S:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Mall, 603 Main Street, Pleasanton, California, is hereby fixed as the time and )lace when and where any person oWning real property within the minhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Pleasanton, and having any objections thereto, may appear before the Council and show cause why such annexation should not take place. Such protest must be filed in writing, and may be tiled at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected, and the description and area of such property, in general terms. 6. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause copy of this resolution to be p~blished at least twice, but not ftener than once a week, in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of eneral circulation published within the City, and also in the ivermore Herald, a newspaper of genersl circulation published out- side the City but within the County of Alameda, California, the oounty in which said territory is located, both of said publica- ~ions to be completed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for the hearing. 7. The City Clerk is further authorized and directed to cause written notice of such proposea annexation to be mailed to ~ach person to whom land within the territory is assessed in the - 3-
