Resolution No. 91-118 <br /> Page Two <br /> f. they recognize that the financial viability of one <br /> agency can impact the economic health of other <br /> jurisdictions; and <br /> g. each city, county and school district needs to be <br /> concerned with, and aware of, problems of other <br /> jurisdictions. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton declares <br /> that in order to maximize productive and efficient <br /> working relationships that will enable all agencies to <br /> more effectively serve the public, the following actions <br /> are necessary and it commits itself to their <br /> implementation: <br /> 1. Strengthen communication and cooperation among <br /> public agencies. <br /> 2 . Seek "win/win" solutions to problems. <br /> 3 . Sponsor and support mutually beneficial <br /> legislation. <br /> 4 . Identify positive programs and projects that can be <br /> developed jointly. <br /> 5. Seek new, better, more productive and different <br /> ways of working together. <br /> 6. Jointly advocate the development of stable and <br /> adequate revenue sources for cities, counties and <br /> school districts. <br /> Section 2 : In support of this declaration, the City Council <br /> commits itself to work jointly and cooperatively together <br /> to accomplish these proposals and goals as well s to <br /> promote reform that is supportive of fiscal <br /> interdependency. <br /> Section 3 : The City Council adopts the Statement of Guiding <br /> Principles for Reform at the State and Local Level, a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein <br /> by this reference. <br /> Section 4 : This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br />
