CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 91-107 RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH ZONE 7 REGARDING THE TEMPORARY SUSPENSION REQUIREMENT FOR INDEPENDENT QUOTA PUMPING WHEREAS, as a result of the water shortage this year and due to the fact that the State Water Project is not able to deliver Zone 7 its full 1991 water requests, Zone 7 is requesting the City of Pleasanton and California Water Service of Livermore to pump their respective groundwater sources to supplement the Valley' s water supply; and WHEREAS, this pumping will be in excess of their Independent Quota during calendar year 1991 pursuant to the water supply contract dated March 12, 1968; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 16, 1991, Council reviewed the proposed Amendment to Agreement with Zone 7 which provides for the City's increased pumping this year without a recharge fee or a subsequent year pumping reduction as set forth in the current water supply contract; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the Amendment to the Contract between Zone 7 for temporary suspension of the Independent Quota Requirement for pumping of groundwater. Section 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute the agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
