Section 6 . SEVERABILITY <br /> If any section, subsection, sentence , clause or <br /> phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to <br /> be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of <br /> any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision <br /> shall not affect the validity of the remaining por- <br /> tions of this ordinance . The City Council hereby <br /> declares that it would have passed this ordinance, <br /> and each section, subsection, sentence, clause and <br /> phrase thereof irrespective of the fact that any <br /> one or more of the sections , subsections, sentences , <br /> clauses or phrases thereof be declared invalid or <br /> unconstitutional . <br /> II. <br /> This ordinance shall be published once in "THE TIMES" , a news- <br /> paper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton, and shall become effective the <br /> thirty-first day after adoption. <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton on October 6, 1969 . <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton on October 13 , 1969 , by the following vote : <br /> AYES : Councilmen Beratlis , Rega, Reid and Vice Mayor <br /> Spiliotopoulos <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Mayor Gerton {{jj // <br /> 3LN7it7(. e94G� <br /> ORGE SPI ' IOTOP ULOS, Vice-Mayor <br /> ATTEST: cO� <br /> LELEN C.
