CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 578 <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE USE OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN <br /> THE CITY OF PLEASANTON BY COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND BY <br /> VEHICLES OF A WEIGHT IN EXCESS OF THREE TONS <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : <br /> I . <br /> There is hereby added to the Traffic regulations of the City of <br /> Pleasanton the following provisions relating to the prohibition of <br /> movement of certain commercial vehicles and certain vehicles of a <br /> weight in excess of three tons upon certain of the streets within <br /> the City of Pleasanton: <br /> Section 1. TRUCK ROUTES <br /> A. In addition to State highways within the City , the <br /> following streets or portions thereof located within <br /> the City are hereby established and designated as <br /> truck traffic routes for the movement of vehicles <br /> exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three <br /> tons and the City Traffic Engineer is authorized and <br /> directed to designate such streets as "Truck Routes" <br /> by appropriate signs and to post such other streets <br /> as necessary to prohibit commercial vehicles exceed- <br /> ing the three ton limit : <br /> 1. Tassajara Road from State Highway Route 580 <br /> southerly to Santa Rita Road. <br /> Both directions . <br /> 2 . Santa Rita Road from Tassajara Road southerly <br /> to Stanley Boulevard. <br /> Both directions . <br /> 3 . Stanley Boulevard from Santa Rita Road easterly <br /> to the City Limits . <br /> Both directions . <br /> 4 . First Street from Stanley Boulevard southwest- <br /> erly to Sunol Boulevard. <br /> Both directions . <br />
